Chicken-on-the-Grill Marinade

This is my standard marinade for chicken. We love it. And it's a pretty forgiving recipe; if I don't have an ingredient, I usually skip it or substitute something similiar, and it always turns out.

2 cloves garlic, chopped
2 T. soy sauce
1/4 c. olive oil
1 t. Tobasco sauce
2 T. ginger, chopped (or 1/4 t. dried ginger)
1/4 c. lemon juice
1 T. vinegar
1/4 t. black pepper

Mix and marinate chicken half day before grilling.
