Bread Machine Crescent Rolls

I love those Pillsbury crescent rolls that come in the can in the refrigeration section. These are pretty close to that. Great with some butter and jam!

3/4 cup plus
2 Tbs warm milk
1/4 cup warm water
1 egg
6 Tbs butter, softened, DIVIDED
3 cups flour (plus extra flour at the end...see note)
2 Tbs sugar
1 tsp salt
2 tsp yeast

Put ingredients (use 4 Tbs of the butter) in bread machine in order listed. Use the dough cycle. When cycle is done, turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Roll into a 12 inch cirle, brush with remaining 2 Tbs butter, and cut into 12 wedges. Roll up wedges from the wide end to the point and place pointed side down 2 inches apart on greased baking sheets. Cover and let rise for 20 minutes. Bake at 375 for 17-20 minutes.

*Note: The last couple of times I've made these, my dough has been too sticky to manage. If that happens, just pour your dough out on your floured surface and knead another 1/2 c. or so of flour into the dough until you get a soft, spongy, but manageable dough. This is a very light buttery dough so it will feel different than other bread recipes. But, it should roll out nicely.
